A police interrogation room. An ice-cold femme fatale (Carla Gugino) and her apparently naïve husband (Adam Arkin) deny the crime they’re accused of; the murder of a police informant (Jesse Spencer). The missing informant is her lover, but the affair is more twisted than it first appears and the couple are hiding dark secrets about themselves under the floorboards.
Edgar Allen Poe’s The Telltale Heart is given a modern-day noir-themed makeover by acclaimed photographer Greg Williams. From a script by Sebastian Gutierrez, Tell Tale is a story of dark secrets and even darker fantasies.
Director Greg Williams on working with Mike -
‘Making film is a collaborative process, working creatively with key talented people. In collaborating with Mike Smith on my two short films; ‘Tell Tale’ and ‘Sergeant Slaughter, My Big Brother’ I was easily able to convey my thoughts to him to interpret into music, making the process a highly enjoyable and satisfying one. His ability to conceive great ideas for the score and to reference pieces of music I was familiar with helped immeasurably when making decisions with limited time. He never disappoints. Looking forward to the next one!’
